Back to School

First Day of Kindergarten

Matthew was very excited to go to Kindergarten at his new school this morning.  We saw lots of familiar faces from Vacation Bible School so that was nice.  And he feels familiar with the classroom since it is next to the one he used to go to for Sundayschool.  We met the teacher yesterday and she was great.  Mrs. Franklin has lots of energy with creative ideas.  They had playdoh on their desk in the morning and Matthew was playing with that.  He was also excited about getting donuts this morning.  Audrey was too.  She put on Matthew's backpack because she wanted to be just like him.  I was so relieved everything went well - no tears by either.  We left early at 7:15am with no traffic.

Aug 3rd week

It was a busy work week. I went to LA for a couple of days and then Andy went to LA on Sunday to play golf before his work trip. We went to church on Sat night since Andy was going to be gone and we enjoyed it. There is a breakout class for kids during the service. We plan to start going on Sat nights again. The weather was very hot so we tried to make the most of it. We went to the park in the morning with Rusty and then to the mall to see Smurfs 2 during the normal nap time. Audrey did well- as long as she had some popcorn!
